Helpful information for your stay

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is available from 2:00 pm, and check-out is by 11:00 am on the day of departure.

Are early arrivals or late departures subject to an additional charge?

Up to 2 hours outside the standard times are complimentary, subject to availability. For early arrivals or late departures exceeding 2 hours, a supplement applies, calculated according to the requested time slot and current availability.

Is there a priority system for reservations?

Yes. During certain high-demand periods, priority is given to half-board bookings and to longer stays.

What is the amount of the tourist tax?

The tourist tax amounts to €1.60 per person, per night, and applies to guests aged 12 and over.

I have already paid for my stay in advance. Do I need to settle anything at the hotel?

Yes. The tourist tax is always settled at the hotel upon check-out. Any additional expenses — such as drinks, bar consumption or extra services — are also payable at that time.

Why can’t I find availability at certain times?

During certain periods, a minimum stay of 4 nights applies. For shorter stays, availability may not appear online. We recommend contacting us: we can check for possible alternatives or add you to a waiting list.

Why can the rate for the same dates change over time?

Our rates follow a dynamic pricing policy and may vary, even within the same period, according to availability and demand.

Do you accept card payments?

Yes, we accept the main credit cards and digital payments, with the exception of American Express. Cash, bank transfers and cheques are also accepted.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, it is always included in all stays. You may choose between a bed & breakfast or half-board basis.

If I book on a bed & breakfast basis, can I dine at the hotel during my stay?

Yes. Dinner may also be added during your stay, subject to availability. The cost is €35 per person (drinks excluded) and includes a starter, main course and dessert.

Is it better to book half-board in advance?

Yes. Half-board is more convenient when selected at the time of booking, as it is offered at a dedicated rate. If dinner is added at a later stage, the standard price applies and the special conditions reserved for half-board booked in advance are no longer available.

Do you offer vegetarian or gluten-free menus?

We do not offer a specialised menu, but we are attentive to different dietary requirements. A vegetarian option is almost always available and, with prior notice, we can adapt certain dishes to a gluten-free version whenever possible.

Do the rooms have a balcony?

Yes. All rooms on the first and second floors, as well as those in the attic level, have a balcony, with the exception of the Romantic Attic and the Small Single Room.

Can the beds in the room be separated?

Yes. Beds can be separated in the double and family rooms. This option is not available in the British Alpine Suite or in the Tower Suite.

Is it possible to add an extra bed?

No, with the exception of the Suite, where it is available upon request.

How far is the hotel from the town centre, the ski slopes and the thermal baths?

• 1 km from Bormio town centre
• 1 km from the ski lifts
• 4 km from the Bagni Vecchi and Bagni Nuovi thermal baths

Are you in a good location for running or walking?

Yes. We are located at the entrance to a cycling and pedestrian path that branches off towards the two main directions of Bormio.

Do you offer a shuttle service to the cable cars?

Yes. During the winter season, from 8:00 to 10:00 am, a complimentary shuttle service to the cable cars is available, operated with our historic Land Rover Defender — an authentic and distinctive way to begin your day on the snow.

Are there public shuttle services available?

Yes. Bormio is served by a complimentary local shuttle, operating throughout the day at regular intervals, with a stop directly in front of the hotel.

Is it possible to arrange a comfortable, worry-free ski stay?

Yes. You may leave your skis and boots free of charge at Ski & Bike, close to the cable car departure point. In the morning, you can reach the lifts with the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service. For your return, you may choose between:
• a pleasant walk via the new bridge in Bormio
• the free local shuttle, which stops directly in front of the hotel
